Eden Creative Recycling is a charitable trust whose aim is to collect pre-consumer waste from businesses so that children, educators, artist sand community members may be able to reuse these as resources for creative purposes. These are displayed in our Mt Eden Centre for educational and community groups to collect and reuse.

Our intention is to provide alternative resources for children that may encourage creativity, and a new way of reusing ‘waste‘ which may cultivate a more sustainable approach to learning. Children and adults are able to explore and engage with these resources, reinventing uses for these items and giving them new identities.

Eden Creative Recycling provides a space that counteracts the throwaway culture of today’s society, and instead fosters ecological behavior. We seek to build change, bringing forth the idea that waste materials can be viewed as meaningful resources. Connections and relationships are made with local businesses, so as to establish ongoing sources of discarded items. These are then sorted and offered in an emporium type fashion.

Every other Monday 3.30-5pm (except Public Holidays)    
Every other Thursday 10-12pm (except Public Holidays)    
First and Third Saturday of the Month 10-12pm
